I want to use it only on 2 devices as I described but I'm happy to pay for whatever version that works with a support provided. I'm still interested in using the app if it turns out that I'm not using it correctly? I didn't see any manual that would cover this. So why doesn't it encrypt the files automatically on android as they get moved to the encrypted folder? If I do the same thing on the windows side: I drag and drop a file from desktop to the encrypted folder it does get encrypted automatically and it also marked correctly. When I navigate to the folder that I created on my phone I can see that it contains FolderKey.bch and it is marked as an encrypted folder.īut when dropsync starts unloading files to it they are all marked as synced and unencrypted. If you delete a file on one side, it will be deleted on the other side. On windows I can see that the boxcryptor created a new drive inside which I can see my dropbox root. With Dropsync for Android, you will be able to Sync and share all your photos, videos, documents, PDF, MP3, ebooks, backups without having to remember to manually perform the task - as any new files you download to your device are instantly uploaded to Dropbox and vice versa. I then set up the dropsync to sync a local directory to this new encrypted folder. I created an encrypted folder on my android device in my dropbox that is supposed to encrypt automatically everything that I put in it. All file transfers and communications between user devices and cloud storage servers are securely encrypted and do not go through our servers. So I was playing with it for a while and the android version of the app seems to be broken.
